Large Canopy Formation Training

CF Specialist Instructors first started organizing world record formations over 20 years ago with the completion of the 46-way Canopy Formation built in 1994.  Learning from our competition experience gave us the ability to better teach new methods of approach and dock than in the past.  From our understanding of canopy design and formation flight we were able to better engineer formations so they began to fly with more stability leading to a higher margin of safety.  US Record and World Record Canopy Formation Events in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2019 have proven our theories true about the flight characteristics of large canopy formations.  The chart below summarizes our success at these three events, which is unparalleled to all other world record events in skydiving history.
